Creating a Safe Space for Healing After Loss

PAIL Advocate
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Advocate
As a PAIL Advocate (Bereavement Doula), I walk alongside you and your family to provide support, guidance, and compassionate care during the loss of a baby. This includes losses due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or diagnoses that may limit your baby’s life after delivery.
I also support families who have previously experienced loss and have not had the opportunity to process it fully.
How I Support You
My goal is to help families navigate this difficult journey with care, understanding, and practical assistance. Services include:
-
Initial Consultation: up to 60-minute virtual or in-person meeting (depending on distance)
-
Prenatal Support: 1–2 visits before delivery (in-person or virtual)
-
Labor & Delivery Support: Presence during birth to support emotional and practical needs
-
Immediate Postpartum Support: 2–3 hours after delivery to help the family process, hold, and spend time with their baby
-
Saying Hello & Goodbye: Guidance and support to create meaningful moments with your baby
-
Ongoing Check-Ins: 30-minute phone or video chats as needed
-
Practical Assistance: Help scheduling photographers, funeral homes, or contacting others if desired
-
Referrals & Resources: Guidance to additional support services, grief counselors, or local resources
